It is very rare these days that I get surprised but being asked to be a consultant for a Social Media Consultancy came out of the blue quite literally. A company called CLOUD9 approached me to be a consultant for them on a part time basis. I looked into what they were trying to do and have to say I like what I saw. Rather than the usual oversell that many companies do online CLOUD9 has taken the high road and is actually making great progress with many brands around the world. They join in the conversation that makes social media such a great place to be. They do not just harp on about how good there clients business is doing or the product they are selling but rather interact and discuss things with real customers or potential customers. This is great for unearthing true insights into what people think about your company. So when they asked I was very happy to agree.
