How do people do it? How do people make fast money online? I was wondering the answer to that question just recently. I thought they just must have a special knack and know what to market and sell. I have seen people do remarkably well on auction sites. They have just what everyone wants. I wish that I could decide what is the best thing to sell and then I could be living the dream of having the money I need for financial freedom. Oh well, I guess that we have to learn by trial and error. Plus we need to do research the current trends.
I have heard from a lot of people that antiques sell very well on auction sites. I have known other people who have bought these treasures at garage sales and estate sales. I guess the people selling these things just think they are junk and donʼt know what they really have. Maybe I need to consider going to these sales and listing them on an auction site. I would love to see how well I do. I am going to do just that. I must be off to go garage sale shopping. Enjoy your day!
My name is Randy Berry and this is my blog. I am a shy engineer trying to get my home business going well enough to quit my career- for good. I am a Carbon Copy Pro network marketer. I am in the 6th week of an intense marketing boot camp known as our 90-Day Challenge. In exactly 10 days my high-tech contract ends. My planning and approach on this quest is based on health, wealth and wisdom, which are also the principles upon which my products through Wealth Master's International are based. The products are financial education CD's and an independent home-business opportunity each offered through the aforementioned WMI. Carbon Copy Pro is an separate company which serves as an internet marketing engine exclusively for WMI.
Do you have a career that you no longer enjoy?
Today is Tuesday, July 15th, 2008. Sunday I finished designing the landing page for my home business. You can see it at http://www.yourlastbusinessever.com Please comment on it so I can make it better.
Since I am also a freelance copywriter, I am considering creating another website to offer my services. I love to write but am a little concerned that I would be going from one career where I have sat in front of a monitor designing computer chips for 25 years into another situation where I would be sitting in front of my computer writing all day - maybe too similar.
What do you do for a living? I would love to hear from you.
That's it for today, thanks for dropping in.

When my only child was born, I was able to stay home with her until the age of eight months. After that, it became necessary that I leave home life and join back into the working world, which meant daycare and even more expenses. I know that daycare did help to make my daughter more socially active and perceptive, leaving her there 5 full days a week quite frankly sucked. Plus, the added expense almost made it counterproductive to even go back to work to make money. Until my daughter was 5, I worked full time jobs for people who could have cared less about me, my family, or my obligations to that family. My husband worked full time on swing shift hours and never had weekends off. Basically, during those years we all just coexisted.I already knew I wanted to work for myself since graduating high school, but it was many years before I would eventually do just that. As the start of kindergarten approached, my husband transferred positions within his company and landed a Monday-Friday schedule. It was time to do something. I finally made the leap the February before the start of a new school year. I had one client I worked with doing marketing work. The money was better than the job I had just quit so it seemed like things were worth the risk... until the rug was pulled out from under me and I lost the client due to his lack of money six months later. I freaked out and scoured the internet for a new client with no success. That is, until I answered a craigslist ad for an administrative assistant and my life and the life of my family changed for the good in a way I didn't think was possible.
I met Debbie Dragon who quickly surmised being an administrative person was essentially "beneath me" because I was a great writer. I already kinda' knew that but had no idea I could make a living writing. But she not only proved herself to me in no time at all, she proved to me that there was a ton of opportunity and money in the online writing world. Lo and behold, her coaching me actually evolved into a full blown class for other people called Make Money From Writing- because of my success and because she was constantly getting hounded by strangers asking her for advice.
My family's life has changed immensely for the positive. My daughter went off to kindergarten as excited as could be and was even happier to find me waiting for her bus when she returned home, as I was able to do everyday for the entire school year. Even though I was really business in just a few short months and making sufficient money, I still had complete control over my life and my schedule. Of course, time management isn't always a piece of cake but I finally feel that I truly have my family back. I may be on the laptop when they want to talk to me but at least I am here for them in the same room. We can finally take impromptu road trips to go camping or visiting. We can eat dinner that I finally have time to make each night as a family. Both my daughter and husband respect my time when I am working on most days and benefit the most from my career change.
Personally, the freedom gained has only encouraged me to go farther. To take it all behind anything I could have imagined and surprisingly, not only am I doing that, but I am finding it easier and easier since making that initial jump. Even if writing is not your cup of tea, just going after your own passion can improve the quality of your life a hundred times over. It makes everything seem so much more wonderful because I know that while sometimes I may be chained to a laptop, it is MY laptop and I am working for only me and those that I love. No longer am I having to fake a commitment to someone I loathe! What freedom! If you have the dreams and the desire to change your life, just do it.

There are many ideas of how to make money on the internet but which ones are real? Which ones have clear steps and predictable results? Lets take a look.
First, if you look into ads that promise you the moon requiring little or no effort, you can most likely assume it's a scam. We all know that success takes dedication, commitment and focus. There are no free lunches out there.
Secondly, don't just go for the money. Find something that excites you. Make sure your heart is in it. Choose something that interests you. If you aren't loving what you are doing you will be unlikely to succeed. Find a business idea that resonates with your values. If you find a good company that sells vitamins but you really aren't that passionate about health and wellness, then that probably isn't the right choice for you.
If you want to learn to be a successful entrepreneur and you want to make money over the internet you'll have to do some research. Don't just jump on the first thing that comes along unless of course you've checked it out thoroughly and you know you've found what fits your criteria. Usually it takes a while to get clear on what you want and what you know you'll be successful doing.
So here are a few tips on what to look for in a viable internet home business that with commitment and consistency will make you money online.
*Products that deliver value, more value than the cost of the product.
*Outstanding leadership in the CEO or founders of the company
*Direct Sales compensation plan with commissions in the thousands paid directly to the consultant/representative
*Make sure you make money your first sale. Avoid the "two-up" compensation plan.
*Look for phenomenal marketing and mindset training from the top income earners in the company.
*Make sure there's a robust marketing system in place that takes a lot of the day to day tasks and automates them.
* Not only do you want phenomenal training from the top income earners, the marketing system needs to have it's own extensive training.
When you ahve done all your research and you have chosen a company that you are excited about then it's time to take action and jump in. Watch out for the "getting ready to get ready" syndrome and learn as you go. It's progress not perfection that you're after. Commit and be consistent and visualize yourself achieving your biggest dreams.
Its been a few days since I posted. My family and I took the weekend to go to my brothers house and hang out at a lake in Wisconsin. Got to do some tubing and kneeboarding but mostly just hang out and relaxed. No cell phone, no internet connection, no business all weekend.
Now you may ask, what does that have to do with running a home business. I have to say, everything. If you can't take of and do what you want when you want without worrying about your business, you are not a business owner. You are just a slave to a machine. You might as well get rid of the business and get a job. That way you get the same money without the hassles of ownership.
The secret to a home business is getting a system in place that runs in the background. Ideally it will do all the work of finding and sorting through prospects for you. Eventually you can get to the point that the only time you talk to a prospect is when they call you. If things are going right you will have enough people calling you that you would never have time to call people to try to recruit.
Think about that. You never call someone first? Is that how your business works? That can be your reallity.
Your e-mail list is the #1 asset to your online business. The key to online success over the long term is to build a highly response opt-in list. Here are 4 techniques to help you get started today.#1 - Give Something Away for Free
It’s a normal human response to give something away for something in return. By giving away something of great value, your prospects will be dying to share their e-mail address to solve their problems.
You can give away e-mail courses, PDFs, videos, podcasts, special articles, or anything of value to your target audience for their e-mail. Remember: it must be solve a big problem, and your subscriber must have THAT problem!
#2 - Keep Things Simple
Eben Pagan aka “David Dangelo” runs a $20 million info business called DoubleYourDating. On the homepage, all he asks for is your e-mail address. There are no images, sidebars, crappy widgets, etc.
Allow your visitors to focus on your message. His opt-in rate is fairly high because he provides a powerful solution: solve all your dating problems with women. Aim for a simple squeeze page to capture your visitor’s e-mail, a simple promise, and a simple call to action.
#3- Establish a Relationship with Your Subscribers
Keep in touch with your subscribers, but do not contact them too often. I aim for around 1-2 e-mails per week.
The key is to contact your subscribers enough, so they look forward to your next e-mail. Your subscribers welcome your e-mails because they contain valuable information. Keep them informed, befriend them, and continue to provide them with content and resources to solve their problems.
If you establish a good relationship, then you can offer quality products and services along with quality content.
#4 - Get Quality Traffic
A few ways to get some traffic to your websites and squeeze pages to build your opt-in list.
Start a Blog - Then include your opt-in form in the sidebar or beneath each post
Use Forum Signatures - A great way to get tons of targeted traffic.
PPC Marketing - Fast and simple way to get targeted traffic. You need a spending budget though.
Article Marketing - Submit articles to directories then send traffic to your resource box. IMO, the easiest and cheapest way to get subscribers and highly targeted traffic.
E-mail Signatures - everyone has e-mail. Link to your opt-in page in your e-mail signature, and you will surely get some signups.
These are just some basic ideas to help you improve your e-mail marketing practices. Focus on collecting high quality subscribers, then give them what they need over and over again. That is how you beat your competition and boost your income with successful e-mail marketing practices.
There are so many different ways of generating traffic that some people get overwhelmed by the choices, and get tempted by paying for traffic, but is this worth the price..?It may not sound very helpful to say 'sometimes', but in truth there are a lot of variables.
It depends on factors I'll mention, and anyone that gives you a straight 'yes' or 'no' is showing a lack of understanding of the intricacies involved.
OK, so some paid traffic sources you can write off straight away are adverts which offer 10,000 visitors to your site for X amount of dollars.
They are a total waste of time and money, because the people coming to your site will be paid to do so, say 5 cents a click.
They have no interest in your offer, will not pay any attention, so forget these offers.
Similarly if anyone says they will get you top rankings in '100 search engines', steer well clear. There is one search engine currently ruling the roost, Google, and maybe 4 others that can bring you worthwhile traffic.
But 100? I don't think so, and a simple email asking them which 100 search engines they are talking about will probably get no response, a clear sign to hold on to your money.
Not all paid traffic is worthless though.
You may go for the pay per click, or PPC, method.
Some marketers swear by this method, and use this alone to drive traffic to their site.
With pay per click you can target the visitors with laser focus, meaning it is money that is tightly spent. This is done by setting up the adverts so that they only appear to people who have typed in your specific keyword.
Even then you only get charged once someone clicks, so you are putting 2 levels of qualification in place before you spend a penny - firstly that they have typed your keyphrase in, and secondly that your ad has appealed to them.
So if a marketer knows that a targeted visitor from his selected market is worth 1 dollar to him on average, as long as he spends less than 1 dollar on average per visitor, he is making money. Once that model is up and running, you can then theoretically just ramp it up.
However, and this is the key with any paid traffic, you do need to know this figure of how much each visitor is worth to you. That means proper and lengthy testing and tracking. If you only have a vague idea of cost versus profit, you are likely to be on the wrong end of the equation!
Another paid option is to advertise in ezines.
If the newsletter goes to a big list of targeted prospects, you may well find that the cost of the advert is more than outweighed by the sales.
Again, proper tracking and analysis is essential.
So you can see that the paid traffic choices can go from the scams and waste of money to laser efficient sales generators - due research is needed before you can decide if the increased traffic is actually worth the money.
Buy a key word list for $19.95, the most common phrases in your true keyword will be displayed just for you, so you know what pays and how many clicks... Easily explode your own business… in the first month of using the list, I tripled my sales to target my audience…
