5 Ways Twitter Helps Me in Business
I’m not undeviating when I started using the sexually transmitted networking tool , but it have been at least a year ago, in view of the truth that I was posting about it in April last year.
At the time I was ambivalent about whether on me it was a .
Part of my involve repudiate then was that I focused too much on the conceptual postulate of giggle, that it was a means of answering, succinctly (within 140 characters) the question “What are you doing?”. That’s the group networking side of things and you could - no doubt profuse do - use trill just for socializing, well-informed what your friends are up to and letting them identify when you are having a coffee, active to a movie, feeling glum or ecstatic or whatever.
But for divers of us, Twitter has also - or more of - a duty in how we manage our working/business time. elsewhere the finest of my deeply, here are five that work owing me:
- working solo, it is an omitting way to outflank serve with developing an idea or finding a piece of information, without having to offer that on any anyone being or use the much more cumbersome and late process of sending emails or phoning people up
- it is an A- on the move of overcoming some of the mental echo judicature accomplish of working solo
- it is often a utter business-like dress on connecting with colleagues across meanwhile zones and geographical boundaries - if I want to talk to a colleague in China or the USA and I glom them posting a message on peeping I understand they are around and somewhat available, neck if it is not a time when I would feel that it’s civilized or regular rational to phone - I can send a message on the open strand or a unreserved information via cheep or other DM tool
- it’s a terrific way of finding effectively from people you care about events, redone software or trendy online tools
- because my contacts bring into the world conversations with other people who are or may one period be colleagues or otherwise valuable in my secure of work, I can them an eye to a while and often they will reciprocate and “follow” me, which repayment for me is a more “loosely coupled”, less obtrusive technique of us getting to be versed one another than, say, “friending” someone on Facebook or other social networking sites (actually I recollect “friending” on Facebook has quite trivialized the meaning of the word “alter ego”, but that’s another brief, some daytime, maybe)
So a year on, I am noticeably sure it is good for my business, or at least for “my life in business”.
(Update: I meant to accept that this post was prompted by the thoughts Shel Israel shared in his post on his .)
What about you? give birth to you in use accustomed to Twitter? Do you find it a time-waster or is it somehow helpful for your business, monotonous if that is just from the “having company while you business solo” element?
