Monday Rant on Sneaky but Dumb Comment Spam

These days, as I work notwithstanding myself, Monday for me is simply another beautiful period of possibilities.

And, inevitably, some challenges.

Such as the challenge of keeping my sense of jocoseness about say discuss spammers.

Specifically the individual whose movement greeted me this morning.

I worked out truly a while ago that "comments" along the lines of "noble post", or "enormous blog" or "I've bookmarked it" are a good plead with on me to curb the comments on this blog moderated.

on occasion I'm not confident however whether a comment is spam or genuine.

Such as this one today, which at first I approved, even although it was a bit linky/pushy:

spectacular difficulty! I'm assuredly active to anger you on my favorites!

I deceive a nursing home based business blog (this was linked). It is about home subject opportunities related fabric. Maybe you could offer some tips pro my locate.

finish a go over and check it out-moded if you get time :-)

I checked the linked position and it looked ok, so as it was another home based business person and I did not want to be too much of a grouch I approved the comment.

Then I found another comment by the same person. Oh, I thought, the commenter must have had a believable look at the site and liked another post.

The comment was identical to the one above.

Of process I disallowed the next and went primitive and deleted the first - this unceasingly a once putting a erase on the commenter.

long-drawn-out makings.

Looking at it up to date I realise the "Fantastic nuisance!" should have tipped me crazy. And if I'd proper thought that was a segment of joyfulness, I should have been more awake when I read "I'm decidedly going to put you on my favorites!". That should have reminded me that a lot of these commentary spammers promise to bookmark or finish you in their favorites, but that is not something you sort out or include in legitimate comments, from my recall.

So the spammer was stupid and, although I exercised a bit of dumbness myself in letting the at the outset one to the core I'm glad there was a second "reveal" to tip me off.

And moment back to enjoying Monday's positive possibilities :)
